I purchased this used dryer through Craig's List and it worked just fine when I picked it up. I cleaned the entire dryer/washer unit inside and out. The entire dryer is free from all lent and dirt (I gave it a new makeover). Now I got the dryer hooked up with a "new" gas connector and fittings and I tested the line for leaks...everything is good to go. The shutoff valve handle is in the "open" position. I got everything ready to go and as the owner's manual only says this in regards to the dryer lighting, "Before burner will light, it is necessary for the gas line to be bled of air. If the burner does not light within 45 seconds the first time the dryer is turned on, the safety switch will shut off the burner. If this happens, turn the timer to 'OFF' and wait 5 minutes before making another attempt to light."
Now the igniter never lighted! I tried placing a lit match in a small opening, where the burn takes place, but nothing lit as a result. What am I missing here? It worked when I picked it up and now the dryer does not work! The washer works just fine and the gas is running through the line, because I tested it before I even hook up the gas line.
