Kenmore Electric "Slid-in range" 911.4678890

Recently F1 appeared in the display unit which appears to be the electronic circuit board from what I have read on this site so far. The unit has an audible beep and the only way to turn it off is to turn on the oven or turn off the breaker. Unit is fully enclosed into the counter and is difficult to just unplug. If this is the part that needs to be replaced how hard is it to replace or is it even worth putting money into such an old unit?

Yes, its very difficult to replace on these GE slide-in models, you would definitely need help if you were to change it yourself.

And the electronic control is over $200, so for the age of your range, it would probably make more sense to invest that money into a new slid-in range.
