6 year old fridge. It's fridge over freezer drawer model.

In one day this week, noticed freezer stuff thawing...late.
Pull the fridge out and cleaned the coils. First time in 6 years. Lots of blockage removed. Still not cooling after 3 days. Unplugged one hour and plugged back in. Compressor and fan running on the back. Compressor is warm.

Removed freezer condenser cover. Coil entering freezer feels cold anywhere I can touch that does not have fins. But the temp inside the freezer is 73°.

Where do I start?

One side note...5 weeks ago we had a lighting strike that sounded like a bomb exploded in the back yard. I had led shop lights that got blasted. My clothes washer controller panel started acting up intermittently not working. This might be important.

Evaporator cover. Most likely the compressor was damaged. If the compressor is running and there is no cooling, the sealed system is the problem. Sealed system repairs are expensive and will often exceed the machines value.
