My Kenmore Elite dishwasher has not been running right for a few months. No matter what cycle I start it with, it will run for about 30-40 minutes and then shut off. I unplugged it and started a new cycle and it ran perfectly one time. Since then I have unplugged again but it still shuts off. Upon reading other threads, looks like it could be a circuit board?? Not sure how to check that.

Yes, sounds like the control board is the problem. At times you can see either burnt components on the control board or discolored components on the control board which means its the culprit too.
