I have a Kenmore Gas Drier (Elite model # 110.95087400) which is only 2 years old. The problem is it is working but not drying properly. It takes a long time especially for towels to dry. I have even put on timed high heat and it takes 80 minutes over and over again.

Please help me! Any suggestions for my husband to try?

Thank you!
Mary

Check to see if you vent hose behind dryer is crushed or flattened.. also from where it connects to wall all the way to the outside being clogged.. these are the 1st things to check..

Pull your dryer away from the wall, take off your vent hose completely and then dry a load.

Thank you! We will try that this weekend. Will let you know how we make out. Printed out the links to your email and will try those if this doesn't work.

Ok here is where we are at right now with our gas drier. We are at this point now. We put Ohmmeter on the valve coils. The readings on one of the coils didnot match the resistance required. If one of the coils is bad should we replace both coils? Thank you Jake. Let us know as soon as you can! I appreciate this website and all of your help!

Yes, you would need to change both.

Here is the new gas coil kit for your model, comes with both:

We ended up checking the vent hose to the drier. Even though my husband had used a leaf blower to blow it out that didn't clean it out. With all the mositure and lint it was stuck. Our house is 8 years old we have been there 4. It was never cleaned out in all those 8 years. This will be something we will make sure we do at least twice a year. Thanks for all your help Jake!
