How can I trouble shoot this problem with my dryer? Some people think its the control board. but thats 145 -180 dollar part. Basically the clothes are notcompletely dry when itfinishes it's run. I have checked the vents and they are not clogged withlent.

Are there test proceedures for controller board and/or thermistor?

Thanks

Allen T,

Aside from the possibility of a defective electronic control or thermistor--I would check the dryer vent from the rear of the dryer to the ouside hood. This is a very common area of poor dry complaints. The vent cannot be extremely long in length or have too many bends or turns as this increases the time it will take for the dryer to dry clothing.

In a Whirlpool/Kenmore dryer there can also be a blockage inside the blower housing.

Try removing the vent from behind the dryer and start the dryer. There should be a steady blast of air comingout of the vent. if this is the case--try drying a single load of laundry without the vent attached. If the loadis dry--that further confirms that the vent in the building is the culprit.
