I have a Kenmore Elite Electric Dryer Model 110.65962401.

I've only had it for 2 1/2 years!!

Everything seems to be working w/ it, EXCEPT it is not giving off any heat...

Can anyone PLEASE help? My husband wants to go get a part and try to fix it himself to save us the cost of Sears coming out and charging us an arm-and-a-leg.

Thank you!!!!!

Hi,

This link will guide you to how to take it apart to access your thermal cut-off thermostat on the heater housing and heater itself: http://www.applianceaid.com/whirlpool-dryers.html#four

Unplug your dryer first. Then ohm test your thermal cut-off and high limit thermostat. Take the wires off it first.

Its #47 and #48 on the side of the heating element housing:

Here's the thermal cut-off assembly for your model in case you need to order it:
Manufacturer's Number: 279769

Watch this video to ohm test it, it will ohm the same as your thermal fuse:

Also ohm your heating element for continuity too.

Unplug your dryer first before doing this!

If both the thermal cut-off and hi-limit thermostat ohm test fine, then next ohm test your heating element, its #14 in the parts diagram above.

Your heating element should read between 0-50 ohms.

Here's the heating element for your model:

Watch this video to ohm test it:
