I have replaced the Thermal Cut-Off and the Thermostat on this dryer and the heating element came on for about a minute them went off. I stopped the dryer then restarted it and the heating element won't glow. I took the heating element, along with the Thermisitor and Thermal fuse to the appliance store where all three parts checked out ok.

I thought replacing the Thermostat and Thermal cut off would fix it. If I didn't have 240 volts coming into the dryer the heating element would not have glowed that one time?

I would appreciate any suggestions anyone may have on this model.

Thank you.

Hi,

**If I didn't have 240 volts coming into the dryer the heating element would not have glowed that one time?**

Unless one of the 240 volt lines was loose somewhere or burnt.

A copy:

Q - My electric dryer runs but will not heat, what could stop my dryer from heating ?

A - Things that could stop a electric dryer from heating:

- house fuse or breaker ( needs 2! )... - heating element ... - burnt wire ... - thermostats ... thermal fuse ( not all models )... - motor heat switch ... - timer ... - selector switch ... - burnt power cord/plug ... ( your model - even heat board ... relay )

Something here may help.

jeff.
