For a few months I've been having intermittent spin issues where the clothes are too wet when the cycle is finished. It doesn't happen all the time though!

Also, it just started leaking about a cup or two of water during the drain/spin cycle. It looks like it's dripping right off the bottom of the motor rotor. I can't tell where it's coming from to save my life! Any ideas?

Also, I took the motor rotor off and this has cracks. Forgive me, I don't know what this thing is. Here's some more photos of the washer. The inside of the motor rotor has definitely been wet.

Additional question, what's the danger of continuing to use it with some handy towels until I get it fixed. We are a large household and have a ton of laundry!

Yes, thanks for the photos, I see what's going on. Yes, I also see your stator is cracked very badly, that's the cause of the spin issue.

Here's the motor stator assy. for this model:

To fix the leak--->if its leaking from the center under the tub, that's usually the main tub seal that's bad.

Here's the tub seal and drive shaft repair kit:

Here's the bearing and seal tool:

Additional question, what's the danger of continuing to use it with some handy towels until I get it fixed. We are a large household and have a ton of laundry!
I don't see why you couldn't still use it till you replace those parts, having those towels down to soak up that leak.

Thank you so much. Wow, that tool is expensive. Fingers crossed I can find a used one on ebay or something! I'll update when I've completed the job.

I believe these two ebay listings will fit my needs. Would you mind looking before I spend $200?

I never advise people to buy parts on ebay or amazon, they sell aftermarket parts for less money and don't hold up.

So its better to buy the the OEM parts I posted above or go washer shopping in my opinion.

I just finished putting the adhesive on the seal. When I turn the shaft, it turns freely for a few turns and then it feels hard to turn for a few turns. What did I do wrong? I'm not going to bother putting the tub back in at this point in case I have to take everything out again.🤦‍♀️

Ok. Well. I put the tub back in and the center thing in the tub won't sit flush. I don't know what I did wrong and it's 2 a.m. please advise.

Watch the video again, I have not done this job yet myself, so I don't know what you did wrong.
