Kenmore elite refrigerator 795.72093.310 sprays water out of dispenser spout after filling cube tray

After filling the ice cube tray, the water switches to the dispenser spout and releases water onto the floor. The amount seems to be the same as filling cube tray. I've replace the inlet valve, the dispenser switch and spring. Of course, if I turn off the ice maker switch it no longer sprays out water. The water dispenser works well. Anyone have any clues?

That's like a bad diode, did you replace the wire harness just before the water inlet valve?

I did not. That PN has been discontinued. Tough to find. I did find someone in AU that has them. Any idea where I can get one? Thanks

Thanks. I just realized....the valve came with new harness. So, yes I did replace it. Any other thoughts?

Ok, if the wire harness came with the new valve, that must be defective, where did you buy it at?

Here's the primary water inlet valve with the wire harness, in the back of your refrigerator for your model:

--->Use the diode check function

on your meter (or lowest ohms scale R x 1). Disconnect the 2 wire connectors to it, Your meter should indicate 0 ohms. If it shows 1 or infinite/open, the diode is bad.
