I have a 2017 Kenmore Elite 42_77127 window AC. I know it's a rebadged LG, but I'm having issues finding which LG model is equivalent, and finding parts in general.

I've got the compressor stuck on, even when powered off, so I am assuming a new control board is in order. Anyone help point me in the right direction?IN

Hi,

Can you post a picture of the model/serial tag?

That is not the model number. Did you get it from the bill of sale or owner's manual?

You need to get the complete information as only found right on the appliance's model and serial number tag. You can find tips for locating the model and serial number identification tag on your appliances at the following link:

If it is actually a model 580.77127710, the following are the main PCB for it. One dealer has it in stock, the other not but has photo of it.

Thank you. I had the model number from the actual box. I hadn't considered a different model on the tag, it was not easy to get to, but I finally got up there and looked at the label.

Yes. It is the 580.77127710. Much appreciated. I should have expected such a thing though....

If the compressor keeps running even after the fans have stopped, the board is likely responsible and needs to be replaced. I can't think of anything else that could cause it. Luckily it's fairly inexpensive unlike most others.

Worry not. I have soundly beat myself with wet noodles until I have understood my erroneous ways.

Just wanted to post and thank you all for pointing me in the direction. Replaced the board yesterday and no more 24/7 compressor.

Of course; LO! Having fixed that, I now find that the fan doesn't start spinning unless you start it up by hand. So looks like the board was hiding a failing run capacitor too. A capacitor that it appears is no longer made; so that hunt beings now. I guess I know what project to start this afternoon....

This has made me grateful that I specifically was looking for a better build quality unit with removable chassis, because being able to leave the case in the window and just slide it out a few inches has made for one easy job.

Aye That worked. Yeash. The 60/7.5 ones are like, $18. I'd have the get the unit that need the$60 one.... And it's a tight tolerance -+5%, so I can't rely on tolerance to let that 7.5 one slip in
