Kenmore frontload 110.92832100 Changing Thermistor

My dryer errors out if any heat setting is used other than "Air".
I think the error code is E-1. It will usually turn off after a few minutes of running when a heat setting is used. Some days it runs fine, most days not.

Is there a thermostat in the heat tube and in the exhaust?

this is the thermostat or thermistor on the burner funnel

Does the E-2 error code tell that the thermal fuse is bad?

Hi,

E1 means:
Thermistor Failure

You will need to replace this.

Make sure the dryer is unplugged first!
Just follow the dis-assembly procedures just to the point that have you remove the filter duct, once the filter duct is removed , you will see the black thermistor on the blower duct on the right, the left part on the blower duct is the thermal fuse, its white, you don't do anything to that.
