I didn’t see anywhere to post this topic and this was the closest one. I received s Kenmore Model 13901566310 used grill as a gift. It was converted to a natural gas grill but I want to convert it back to propane. I’m seeing conflicting info with some saying just connect the propane hose back on and others saying I need to change the natural gas orifices to propane valve orifices. Which is the proper procedure.

It would have to be converted back, whatever that takes. This is from the owner's manual:
Kenmore Owner's Manual said:
Your grill can be converted to natural gas. The conversion must be performed by a qualified gas technician.

Natural gas conversion kit
Kenmore Model # 01898
(Manufacturer Part No.: 9141650)

To purchase a Natural Gas Conversion kit call Sears at 1-800-4-MY-HOME
.

You can see what came in that conversion kit at this link.

Basically you'd need to get what was removed and reinstall them or see if there's another kit available to switch back to propane. Call Sears or a BBQ specialist with that kit part # to see if they can cross reference it.

Thank you. In the meantime I did call and was told that I needed 4 main burners which I’m assuming have the regular propane gas valves preinstalled since in order to change over to natural gas I would need the conversion kit. I’ve never heard of a BBQ Specialist.

Companies that speialize in BBQ grills. Barbecue World, BBQ Guys, Barbecue Country and Barbecues Galore are a few.

BBQs/Grills are not considered "appliances" which is what this forum is specialized in.
