Slider door opens but no ice comes out. Does sound like motor turns. If bin removed and button pressed motors turns sometimes. Problem was intermittent for some time then stopped entirely. Have been able to make work at times by pounding area where motor is housed. Does not seem to help now. Have cleaned bin to be free of ice. Lubricated gear at top with no luck suggestions?

how sure are you this will fix the described issue? Just curious how confident you are with the information I have provided.

Well, diagnosing any problems long distance over the internet has it's drawbacks. Measure the voltage across the brown/white wire and the red/white wire at the motor when the dispenser is pressed. Depending on the cube/crushed selection your meter should indicate either +115 VDC or -115 VDC. You'll probably need to hold the door switch in when pressing the dispenser lever.

Once this is done, what does this indicate if + or -?

If you have voltage at the motor and the motor is not working.......Bad motor. If you purchase a part from a link on this site and it doesn't fix the problem you can return it for a full refund less shipping.
