While broiling (with door closed - I've told my wife not to do this) the alarm went off and "F-2" appeared on the display. I turned the unit off for a few minutes, turned it back on with door cracked open and things seemed normal.

Now, when trying to bake, the oven won't start heating unless the temp is set at 410 deg. or higher. I can't find our oven thermometer but I'm certain it is not heating up to the displayed temp.

I killed the power & let the unit cool down and tried again, but having the same results.

Any advice???

Thanks

Yup, F2 is usually the control board and sometimes the oven sensor.

I always ohm the oven sensor at room temp. it should ohm out at 1100 ohms, with an ohm meter.

The oven sensor is a probe type part that you can see inside your oven, you can get access to it from the back of your range where it has a connector on it. Unplug your range first before ohm testing it.

Here's the clock/control board assembly for your model:
Manufacturer's Number: WB27K5137

WR27K5137

Its over $200, so if your range is over 10 years old, I'd recommend investing the repair money into a new range.
