To start the ice maker was making to much ice, we shut it off for a few days then more issues developed. when we turned it back on it would not pump water to the freeze plate. I replaced the following parts Remanufactured control board, low voltage transformer, ice bin temp sensor and ice maker recirculation pump.

Ice maker recirculation pump will not pump when turned on. It will pump water in "CLEAN MODE". when turned on the unit fills with water and wont stop filling (Possible water level sensor???) and wont pump water to the evaporator plate.

Not sure if the remanufactured control board is the problem or if its the water level sensor or both.

Please Help

Wes

Did you read this thread:

It will pump water in "CLEAN MODE". when turned on the unit fills with water and wont stop filling
Do that again, this time when it does not stop filling unplug the ice maker from the wall outlet and see if it stops filling.

Here's the water level sensor for this model:

yes I did read that thread, that is what led me to replace the ice bin temp sensor or Bin Thermistor. I will try the other shortly.

I suppose I should have provided more detail, sorry for that. so it appears that things work properly in clean mode. when the unit is powered on it fills the reservoir and does not stop filling, I then unplugged the unit from the wall and it stopped filling.

Im guessing by you posting the photo of the water level sensor you are saying its the issue, I ran it in diagnostic mode had blinking light while reservoir was filling, it didnt fill all the way up nor did i get a solid light, as it got close to being full the unit went to step 6 on diagnostic chart. Guess the max time elapsed.

Put the original control board back in then try it again.

Yes, it sounds like the water level sensor is possibly the problem, the service manual on page 4-6 says this--->NOTE: The water level sensor cannot be checked with a meter - use the diagnostic program step #10. See Figure 17.

Ok boss man, Ill give it a try, I read that note about not being able to test the water sensor. The service manual is confusing that it states use diagnostic program step #10 which step #10 is labeled as Ice Thickness. Step #5 talks about the touch sensor.

I'll run the diagnostic program a few more times, normal and with water in the reservoir to note if there are any changes. Then ill swap out the control boards and run it again and see what I get.

Thank you for all the help you have given so far I appreciate it.

Jake there were no changes when switching control boards. Replaced the water level sensor and as of now everything seems to be in proper working order. Thank you so much for your help.
