About 3 weeks ago, I noticed that I wasn't getting the whooshing sound when I closed the freezer door. Everything inside
was staying nice and frozen so I didn't worry about it. Yesterday, I opened the door and found ice forming around the edges of the door and a little bit of frost on the items closest to the seams of the door.

My owner's manual says the door is magnetic which helps it form that airtight seal. I don't know if the gasket
has gone bad or if something else is stopping the door from closing tight.

Any ideas?

Hi Virginia, yes make sure nothing in the freezer is keeping the door from closing all the way. I see that a lot on my service calls.

Usually the magnetics in the door gasket don't go bad, but if the door gasket rips/tears the magnet may start coming out of the door gasket.

Look all around the door gasket for rips/tears in it.

I've checked the gasket and it appears intact.
I'll work on making sure nothing is keeping the door from closing.

Apparently I found and moved whatever it
was that kept the door from closing like
it should have because all is working just like
it should now.
