Interior lights in fridge and freezer on my KitchenAid Refrigerator, Model KRMF706EBS01 are not illuminating. Started out by being dim, then slight flicker, now they are completely out. Also control panel on produce draw not working at all. have had intermittent problem with ice and water not dispensing, Looking for suggestions on where to start for trouble shooting these issues. Thank you!!

Disconnect it and see if everything starts working properly again. If so, check your wire harness first to see if you notice a short in it, if no short then the problem is the Pantry UI control board.

Thank you for the reply. I disconnected the produce drawer board and some of the lights came on and water and ice started working. Plugged it back in and nothing. I disconnected it again and none of the lights or ice and water are working. Started out with just the lights out. Produce drawer control was working fine until yesterday when the fridge started sounding open door alarm then these other problems started. Is there a way to test the board?

That's the only test.

So now lets check the wire harness that goes to it.

There have many members reporting Pantry UI wire harness cuts and shorts in the Pantry UI wire harness. I'd take your Pantry UI wire harness out and inspect it for cuts and breakage in it too. In fact once you remove the complete wire harness see if everything goes back to normal again.

Ok. Just for the heck of it, I disconnected the connected plug from back of control board on produce drawer. The ice and water started working again with it disconnected and the LED lights on the side are all fully illuminated. The LED in freezer has a single LED in light very dim, as well as 3 of the 4 on inside top of fridge. Do you think I should still take part everything and inspect harness or could my problem be with control on produce drawer? Or is it possible the wire harness is causing the control on produce not to work?

That's why I suggested for you to remove the wire harness to the Pantry UI Board and see if everything went back to normal, so basically that pretty much confirms its the wire harness anyways, you just did it from the board instead.

So order the wire harness and the freezer LED light and that should fix both problems.

Which ones on the top of the refrigerator ceiling are not lighting up? The 3 on the very right side? Or the 2 on the very left?

None. But, when I open the doors all flicker except the front left under ice maker. Also, since I replaced harness, the ice maker hasn’t made any ice yet.

The bad LED light is the front left under the ice maker because its not flickering at all, here's that LED light for your model that's not flicking at all you can order: W11462342

I thought you said the ice and water dispenser was not working in your first post, but the ice maker wasn't making ice either?

I'm attaching your tech. data sheet below. Do these Service Tests below.

Service Test - 36 Ice Box Fan
--->Check for fan operation. Control Ice Box Fan using SW3. Display the status on Temp Display. (01 = ON, 02 = OFF). Verify air flow from the IB fan.

Service Test - 37 Ice Box Thermistor
--->The board will check the resistance value of the thermistor and display the results on the Temp Display. (01 = Pass, 02 = Open, 03 = Short).
