Our two y.o. dishwasher doesn't drain at the end of washing cycle, but drains completely the next morning when cold... It washes correctly but there is always water on the bottom... Since it does drain when cold, the hose is not clogged and the pump works fine, wht could be the problem?

Sounds like its a faulty drain pump overheating, preventing it from draining in final drain.

What I do is remove the electrical connector from the drain pump and put my meter leads in each of the two electrical connector slots and when it gets to the final drain cycle, watch the meter, if your meter reads 120 volts and the drain pump is not running, then the drain pump is bad, and it will need to be replaced.
