A few weeks ago, I would have to open up and clean the chopper about once a week. It would be clogged everytime so the top rack would not clean well. Then I realized I cheaped out and got a chopper from China which was junk as the spring started to rust and break. So I got one from AppPartsPro and it's been working well for the past month or two.
Another problem now, I see solid food collect just outside the chopper, but the chopper seems to be clean and doing it's job. The filtering mechanism to prevent so much food particles to that point seems to be faulty. What do I need to replace?

The food is all stuck in this part.

Here's the parts diagram for your model:
#6 is your chopper screen assembly
#8 is the inlet protector(which is the photo of it above)

The larger food items will not be able to go through those slots to get to the chopper screen assembly, that's what your garbage disposal is for my friend.:)
