My kitchenaid double oven recently stopped working. After cooking two pizzas (1 in each oven simultaneously) at 425F and cooling down, the control panel went blank. The fuse tested with no continuity so i replaced it, which seemed to fix the oven. I tried the top oven by cooking a pizza again at 425F.

The fuse blew again during the cool down cycle. It looks like the cool down cycle is somehow all of a sudden providing too much current. Could i have a bad control board? Any idea where I can start diagnosing from here?

This is awesome, I couldn't find the service manual online. I've got another fuse on order and will start reading up to test the cooling fan. Thanks so much Jake and I'll report back!

Fuse replaced again. Error code F2E1 for stuck/shorted key. All keys work, have never had a problem (could be from when i previously removed/unplugged the keypad/control panel?). I cycled through all relays, could hear all of them click on/off for both upper and lower ovens. Cleared the error, ran bake function on both upper and lower ovens for 1min+....no error code returned.

When i cycle the relays for the cooling fans in diagnostic mode, i hear the relays click and then an electric hum...but i don't hear air moving (not sure it's supposed to?). When I bake the lower oven, i don't hear a fan come on. When i bake the upper oven i hear a fan come on...but it is the fan i can see directly in the back of the oven which i think is the convection fan (this model has convection in upper oven only). Seems weird the convection fan is turning on during a normal bake (not convection bake).

It sounds like maybe i have a bad cooling fan (or fans) as I don't hear air moving during diagnostic mode (upper/lower HS/LS relay activation), or during lower oven bake? I think my next step is to check resistance/voltage of the cooling fan. Any advice/guidance before i pull the oven out?

To follow up, cycling the cooling fan relays results in a low electric hum for LS, and it gets louder for HS, for both upper and lower relays. It sounds like my cooling fans are operating correctly unless i should be hearing something louder/air movement. I'm a little stumped at this point.

Yes, that is very strange, you may want to contact KitchenAid to come out at 1-800-422-1230 to see what's going on, seems you have multiple problems.

Wait, I just located a similar issue that another member had and it was the Appliance Manager that was bad. You model uses the exact same Appliance Manager:

Here's the Appliance Manager for your model:

I may just buy the AM, replace the upper and see if it fixes it. If not swap the new one to the lower oven and see what happens. I'll follow up with this thread when that happens.
