I have a KitchenAid fridge/freezer and recently the bottom of the freezer (which serves as a drip tray) has started filling with ice, and if I don't remove the ice it nullifies the drip dray and leaks onto my floor.

I have found this answer for a similar product and assume the solution will be the same but wondered if anyone can confirm that before I buy the part.

I have tried to roll the unit forward but, after lifting the stays near the wheels I find it rolls for a few inches then seizes up. This could be because of the unit it's built-into but I'd also love to know if this is a problem anyone has experienced and how they've overcome it.

Thanks

Yes, Post #2 in that other thread I helped on is what you'd need to do as well:

It should just roll out, you may need a helper to help you pull it out from the wall.

Then clean out the drain tube with a pipe cleaner. Or use compressed air to blow through it.

Run hot water down the drain tube and it should drain fast, Also leave the rubber nipple off at the end of the drain tube, you don't need it. But if you don't want to do that, they have redesigned it.

Here's the drain tube for your model:

Yes, that sounds about right.:)
