My Kitchenaid KDFE204ESS4 Dishwasher won't start. It will beep 3 times and then nothing. I tried resetting power. I saw a suggestion for a similar mode to hold "Heated Dry" and "Start" for 5 seconds. I have "heat dry" but it did not work. Any thoughts?

Hello Jake,

Yes, the LED on "Start/Resume" Key blinks 3 times very quickly.

Control looks for door to open between cycles:
- Customer didn’t open door between cycles.
- Door switch contacts stuck closed.

1. Open and close door, and then press Start/Resume key. Instruct customer to open door between cycles.
2. Unplug dishwasher or disconnect power.
3. Measure resistance of door switch contacts while checking mechanical operation of latch assembly.

Lets first check the door switch. Check the resistance of the door switch with a multimeter. Should be less than one ohm. High ohms=bad switch.
