• ** REMEMBER! **The microwave can still shock you even unplugged!!

ALWAYS discharge the high-voltage capacitor first if you even think your hands will come close to any HIGH VOLTAGE components.

Jeff mentions this: Anything in the high voltage ( magnetron, capacitor, diode, wires to and from ):
...Use a metal ( not the shiny chrome type ) screw driver with a insulated handle to short across ( touch both at the same time ) the terminals of the high voltage capacitor to discharge it.

Kitchenaid KMHC319ESS Microwave over the range. The fan is working as well as the over the range light. But, I get the message close door continually- microwave will not start

One of your switches appears to be bad. There are three on your model. However one switch is a dual. So essentially 4 switches. These have been replaced with a new set of switches part number W11244494

It is very important that you take pictures of the wires on your current switches before you disconnect anything. Then follow the included instructions very carefully. You will be removing and transferring wires from connections one at a time as per the instructions included.

Apparently the dual switch has been an issue so this new set includes 4!different switches and a jumper wire.

It is 2 switch holders, a jumper wire and 4 switches already mounted on the two holders.

It does work with your model. You may want to reach out to a local expert for installation.
