The other day I came home from work, and the drip tray under the door ice dispenser was full. I looked in the ice box, and it seemed like there were splashes of water on the existing ice. I touched the tray, and there was a huge frozen ice block. I had to manually flip the tray and use a heat gun to melt some of the ice so the block would come out of the tray. I dried up everything and restarted the ice maker, but same result about 12 hours later. I had to heat gun the tray again to get the ice out (picture attached).

From my forum readings, I entered the service diagnostics mode and received the results below.

Service Test - 14 Door Ice Box Thermistor - 16
Service Test - 16 Door Ice Maker Tray Thermistor - 11
Service Test - 59 Ice Box Fan Test - Pass
Service Test - 97 Door Ice Maker Valve General Test - Water entered tray, but on my count short of 7 seconds.
Service Test - 120 Door Ice Maker Self Diagnostics - PA

I don't know what the problem is, but it seems like the tray is either calling water repeatedly without dumping. Or, it is failing to dump the ice and refilling with water when it doesn't need to be filled. Then, it is creating a massive block of ice stuck to the tray.

Does anyone have any ideas on my next course of action or what to try?

Thank you in advance.

Hello, any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm not sure how to diagnose or what additional steps I should take. Thank you in advance.
