My KitchenAid KSCS25INSS00 is acting up lately. The temperature control display inside the top of the refrigerator comes on and off. Checked the bottom back of the frig and the fan and compressor work fine. I hear the fan on the freezer section. It seems the frig is working fine.

About 6 months ago I had the same issue and I unplugged the frig for 10 min and the problem went away until recently. Any idea why the temperature display inside the frig is acting up? Can it be the main control board in the back? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

Its either the control panel board(which has been discontinued) or the main control board(which is now a SERVICE KIT), which is located in the back of the refrigerator.

What you said in that statement makes me think its more the main control board(SERVICE KIT) that is the culprit.

Here's the SERVICE KIT for your model:

Here's the display board for your model(which has been discontinued):

Thanks Jake. The Service and Wiring Sheet shows for Electronic CTL (main control board) part # 2223443. I found out part # WPW10219463 replaces it. I guess your part # W10823804 includes main board (2223443/WPW10219463), harness cables, mounting bracket etc. This is the right part for my KitchenAid KSCS25INSS00. Correct? Any suggestions where to start troubleshooting first?

Thanks again

Correct.

You can disconnect power to the refrigerator and remove that main control board and look for any brownish colored burn spots on it.

Anytime!

Jake,
Last question. As an expert do you think the main board repair kit (by Steve Jenkins) floating around the internet fixes most frig problems? Should I give it a try? By the way, the frig is functional since the last reset when encountered control display issues.

Thanks

I'm up in the air about that, some people say that fixed it for a SHORT time, then failed again.

Anytime!
