• ** REMEMBER! **The microwave can still shock you even unplugged!!

ALWAYS discharge the high-voltage capacitor first if you even think your hands will come close to any HIGH VOLTAGE components.

Jeff mentions this: Anything in the high voltage ( magnetron, capacitor, diode, wires to and from ):
...Use a metal ( not the shiny chrome type ) screw driver with a insulated handle to short across ( touch both at the same time ) the terminals of the high voltage capacitor to discharge it.

HI all, Back for my microwave this time. The microwave was throwing a "open/close door" error but now it only shows "close door first". I've look at the door latches on the microwave and the bottom one seems to have disappeared into itself and now I think the door isn't registered as being closed. Can anyone help me "reset" the bottom latch so it pops back down and catches? Attached are some pics. Thanks!

Updated look at the interior latches. The bottom one seems to be the issue, but not sure what it should actually look like.

Ok so i fixed this issue. The bottom latch was snapped back and for some reason was not returning to it's standard position. I took the door apart using this video below, and then removed the latch to manually click it back into place.

Excellent Cory, good job.(y)

Thanks for the update!
