• ** REMEMBER! **The microwave can still shock you even unplugged!!

ALWAYS discharge the high-voltage capacitor first if you even think your hands will come close to any HIGH VOLTAGE components.

Jeff mentions this: Anything in the high voltage ( magnetron, capacitor, diode, wires to and from ):
...Use a metal ( not the shiny chrome type ) screw driver with a insulated handle to short across ( touch both at the same time ) the terminals of the high voltage capacitor to discharge it.

The display on my 2017 KitchenAid Microwave KMHC319ESS is bad. It started a couple months ago with the time having to be reset every few days.
Now, the displayed time won't hold more than one or two uses - it disappears or displays random digits.
When the time is displayed, the microwave works. When the digits are missing, the keypad doesn't work and I have to unplug/plug it back in.
Often the display will display junk characters or maybe none at all. Sometimes the displayed characters will blink.

I'm guessing that I need to replace the control board, part W11202852.
Can anybody verify this or point me in the right direction?
