My KitchenAid refrigerator is 1.5 years old and has had recurring trouble with ice production. After researching on this site I learned of Technical Service Pointer #: W11406716. I tested as directed in steps 3 and 4 and found 61 ohms of resistance and 12v power as required. Even though it tested good I'd still get ice blockage in the fill tube and low or no ice production. I opted to purchase Repair kit W11366500 since it was fairly inexpensive ($38.39 shipped). The install was fairly straight forward and took about an hour. The instructions are good and it's not too hard to do. The most tricky part is removing the plastic tabs at the fill tube end inside the ice maker compartment without damaging the fixed part in the compartment. I was lucky to have an insulated, two-conductor wire that had an O.D. very close to the I.D. of the new fill tube. I pushed the wire into the new tube and fastened securely with electrical tape. It should be apparent that you don't want the fish wire to become disconnected inside the door. This will lead to a much bigger job than necessary, so don't skimp on the tape. After installing the new fill tube and running diagnostic test 97 I could hear the fill valve open but no water was flowing. I thought that I had pinched the tube at the hinge cover, but I don't think that was it. After running test 97 a few times the water was filling the tray. Soon the ice bin was full again! Nice to have it working correctly. The relocation of the heater wire might be the primary reason for this fix. My fill tube heater checked good, but didn't work correctly, so you might consider this fix if you have a similar problem. I'll post more photos since I've reached the limit of 10 on this post.

Here's a close up of the end of the fill tube and the associated tabs. It takes a bit of fiddling to get it out and reinstall the new one. Pulling the tube with a suitable wire is fairly easy.

Pull the new tube using the wire attached to the old tube. The template needs to be cut out and the hole drilled for the clip. I used regular silicone behind the clip since I didn't have any food grade. Happiness is an ice maker that keeps the bin full. :)

One other thing, don't forget to turn off the water supply to the refrigerator before disconnecting the lines at the top of the left door. I almost missed that step...
