Hi,

When looking up information to troubleshoot my refrigerator (KitchenAid KRFC704FSS00), I can across this thread : https://www.applianceblog.com/mainf...as-stopped-making-ice-cubes.65816/post-329430
and that specific post had a Control Board Troubleshooting information that is amazing. Thanks for having all that great info available.

Now my issue, the ice maker stopped working about a week ago. No leaks, no visible issues, it just stopped producing ice. After finding this place and running through the control board troubleshooting, the temps are still freezing and if I run the "Door Ice Maker Self Diagnostic" it passes and actually dumps the ice it processed out. When I exit the troubleshooting mode and close the door, the ice tray fills up, but never automatically dumps out. I didnt see a sensor test in there for "the ice is ready" or anything obvious to me. Any ideas what else I should be looking for to get it to automatically run through the cycle without me having to manually run that self diagnostic to get the ice to drop?

I'm attaching your tech. data sheet below.

Service Test - 14 Door Ice Box Thermistor
Read RC compartment Temperature. SH indicates “shorted” thermistor, OP indicated “open” thermistor.

Service Test - 16 Door Ice Maker Tray Thermistor
Read Icemaker Tray C Temperature. SH indicates “shorted” thermistor, OP indicates “open” thermistor.

Your control board should be 7.0.0 per that service pointer I posted there.

Yup, my board is version 6.0.0 and after reading the linked post, my refrigerator started to not cool either and I have a lot of ice built up at the bottom of the fridge. I guess I need a new control board to make it work better. The linked post had a service pointer that said to replace the gasket around the RC evaporator. Is there a part number for that so I can get it all at once?

Yes, You should have 7.0.0 software on that board.

The Replacement control board with updated software W11332011 has been updated to W11333076

Here's the RC evaporator cover, which includes the RC fan motor for your model: Refrigerator Evaporator Cover W11167902

This video gives you the general idea of how to get access to the RC(refrigerator compartment) evaporator coil.
