I have been trying to play appliance repair person for last few days. Started with melting ice, not making ice with a low ticking noise that progressed louder over two days, Pulled out from wall did some trouble shooting, cleaned it, not great after 3years and 5 pets, did a forced defrost before we went to bed, next morning no noise, new ice in the bend thought we were good. Next day P0 code appeared. Had no power outages, turned off breaker for 15 minutes to reset, did not work.
Started searching on You Tube and here and only found P0 code response to replace the electronic control board, maybe the power control board. was about to order those then found the tread of the poor guy that fought this for 2 months and spent over $1000 only to have it all not work. So, when I was on with the factory, thank you Jake for posting the number, I saw on their website another reason for this code is the temp in the freezer is above 18 degrees F or 8 C. So I am going to get in the freezer tonight and remove the cover and see if it frozen over. Anyone else had this?
The P0 code does return every ten min or so. Also I will open the fridge door and the power will cycle off but come back in about 5 seconds. I did go through the Tech Troubleshooting list again and on Service Test 3, Sub Sec04 the RC & FC Fans on, it would kick the fridge off after 10 seconds or so then everything would reset the panel back to home screen.
When cleaning, compressor fans was fine, compressor not hot, only a little water in drain pain and not very dirty but did clean out well. Oh, I forgot, when checking the temp by the control panel, it shows refrigerator at 33F, which feels right and freezer at 0F which I know is not. No hand thermometer to verify, going to grab a couple of cheap ones from HD. Any suggestions?
