I replaced the ice maker about a year ago. A few days ago, while dispensing ice then water (probably unrelated), the ice maker started overfilling and wouldn’t stop until I unplugged it. I let it rest a bit and plugged back in. Now it will not make ice. I’ve tried the fill test #45 and it will not fill. When I do I can hear noise on the inside like it’s filling but no water into the tray. I tried unplugging and running warm air from a hair dryer in case the line was frozen but that didn’t seem to help. Harvest test #57 works fine. Everything else seems ok. I really don’t want to replace it again. Water dispenses fine. Any ideas?

Added complete model number

Your missing the last 2 digits of your model number, read it from the model number tag, which is located inside the refrigerator section on the upper walls or ceiling.

Here's the results I get:
KRMF706ESS00
KRMF706ESS01
KRMF706ESS02
KRMF706ESS04

Thanks,

You will need a multimeter to check for 120 volts the primary water inlet valve, which is located in the back of your refrigerator, when its in that water fill test 45. Make sure water is flowing through that valve.

Here's the primary water inlet valve for your model:
Water Inlet Valve W10865826

Watch this video that shows you where its at:

Then check for 120 volts at the RED solenoid on the secondary water inlet valve, in that water fill test 45, make sure water is flowing through that one too.

Here's the secondary water inlet valve for your model:

Ok, I’m getting water at the indoor dispenser so the primary valve is good. I get 120 volts on the red lead on the secondary, but no water flow, even with tube to ice maker off. So it looks like the secondary valve.
Thanks!

And it seems to make sense, it first failed open, then when I shut the power off it closed.

You nailed it!

Order the secondary valve and that should fix it.

It went great. The valve came in today. 5 mins to swap out, and it just dropped a load. Of ice.

Thanks again!
