Hi All,

We’ve been having issues with our Kitchenaid KRMF706ESS01 for some time now - it would randomly power down and wouldn’t cool, lights wouldn’t work, etc. Thanks to the site, we replaced the main control board and have had zero power issues at all. With that said, since replacing, our refrigerator temp swings between 25 and 35 degrees over a 24h period. I’ll note, we have it set at 37 and the freezer temp is fine.

Could something have been caused this while replacing the control board? We didn’t have these swings before the replacement outside of the loss of power.

Thanks all

Thank you. I bought it from appliance parts by trible's. Everything else appears to work fine and no more power issues. I could still return / exchange at this point.

Yes, trible's is not a reliable company to get parts from, others have had issues getting parts from their too. I saw the 1 star rating on amazon.:(

I'd get a refund on it and order it from my link to it above and you should be back in business.:)

Ok no worries, let us know how it goes when you get the new board.

To my surprise, the part came in already (much faster than est). I installed and since this morning, the temperate variance is now 33.5 to 38 (I have set on 37). This seems much more reasonable and what I should be experiencing, or so I’d think.

Thank you!

It’s been a few days. Temp range is 32-39 (have it set on 38) so it’s still dropping below a good amount but nowhere near what it was with the original board replacement (was going down to 25 when I first replaced with the defective one).

Is this an acceptable range?

Correct, Its not going down to 25 anymore, so its much better, as long as its not freezing anything in the refrigerator section.:)
