So I had a problem with the ice maker before - ended up replacing two control boards (there are two in this thing) and then found a broken wire above the ice maker itself. Fixed the wire and it all started working.
Worked good for about a year and now it has quit twice again. First time, I was able to go into service mode, run the water fill test (test 97) which worked and ran water into the tray. Then ran test 120 which worked - and yes, it dumped the water. Exited service mode and the whole thing was happy again and worked.
Now, about 2 weeks later, it has quit again. But now, I'm getting different errors:

1. Test 97 will not fill the tray. I can hear the valve open, but don't hear water like I used to. I ran test 96 and that worked fine - water came out the front dispenser.
2. Ran test 120 - get nothing. It simply says "01" and nothing changes. No failure, no parts moving, nothing!

Board version is 6.0.0, so that is the latest recommended by service pointer.

Fridge works fine, freezer works fine - it's just the ice maker..
What is going on?

I'm attaching your tech. data sheet below.

At the main control board check for 115 volts between P3-3 to P1-2 when you have it in TEST 97.

ok - so it would appear that the problem is not the valve - the ice tray was twisted upside down for some reason and stuck there - I tried test 120 again and nothing - while it was running the test, I tried to force the tray a but and it then turned all the way around and twisted to the other way and stopped.

It's like the ice tray is not going thru the entire cycle and got stuck halfway thru, thus now allowing the water/valve to operate.

And the test between those two doing the 97 test showed 120volts and water did come out of the ice maker tube (I had a cup under it to catch).

ok - still messing with the ice tray - took it apart, got the tray lined up straight -got it in ran a couple tests - weird, it will go thru 02 or 04 a if I mess with the power switch on the unit - then it finally stopped and said E2. So is my ice tray hosed? or the control board not running it correctly?

ok - one more update, took the tray out again, took apart and lined up the tray once again. Stuck it back in, reset the test and started test 120 again - this time the test passed!??
Don't understand, still making me think something is wrong somewhere to initially get the tray to become stuck partway thru a cycle and thus freeze up the whole process..

Whenever you see E2 its always the ice maker itself that's bad.

Here's the ice maker for your model you can order: W10908391
