Hi,

I have Kitchen-Aid refrigerator model: KRFF302ESS03 (French doors).

When I used the water dispenser this past Monday first thing in the morning, I pressed the button for the water dispenser, no water came out. I heard a slushing sound, and then after about two secs the water came out. On Tues morning, no delay with dispensing water. But today (Wed), same thing, pressed the button, no water and heard slush sound. Then after about two seconds, the water came out. The slushing sound was like a mix of water and ice.

Any reason to be concerned?

Regards,
Gus

Hi Gus,

Sounds like possibly your water tank in the refrigerator section is getting too cold and causing this water and ice slush issue, set your refrigerator temperature control setting 1 notch warmer and see if that resolves it.

Hi Jake,

I set the refrigerator setting to the next notch up (4 deg C/39.2 deg F) on Wed evening. And as of today (Monday), there has been no ice slush issue. I will keep it at this setting for now.

Question: what is causing the water tank to get close to freezing temperatures? Is it just temperature fluctuations from time to time?

Regards and thank you,
Gus
