KA fridge gets condensation/ice buildup inside upper left corner where icemaker assembly meets the back wall. I know there’s an airway from the freezer going to the icemaker. Subsequently ice buildup melts and water is on the bottom of fridge compartment.

Hi,

I'm not seen that happen before on my local service calls, hopefully another tech. that has can shed some light on this issue for us.

Did you lower that ice box compartment to see if the ice maker is possibly leaking and causing that issue?

Here's the video that shows you how to lower the ice box compartment down:

Thank you for the quick response Jake!

Yes I did remove the whole icemaker Assembly and disassembled it. The waterline is good with no cracks or leaks and the fan is operating normally. I can also say that it’s not over filling the ice tray either.

Ok, then I really don't know what's causing it, I have not seen this happen on any of my service calls. Hopefully another tech that has seen this happen can shed some light on it for us.

Hi RockHonestRpr. Any update on cause of your problem? I have the similar KRFF707ESS01 model with the same problem. Condensation on bottom of ice maker and ice container (with ice maker off and no ice) and my fridge temps are varying from 34 - 45 degrees. Freezer works fine. Refrigerator was turned off and defrosted for about 36 hours and then plugged in with same problem returning.

I went back to customers house and disassembled then defrosted again. No real fix but customer has not contacted me since about the issue.
