KRMF706ESS01 KitchenAid Refrigerator - Door ajar lights and alarm comes on every few minutes, interior lights go out

I replaced the refrigerator control board KRMF706ESS01 because my refrigerator was not cooling so its been working now since June. But new problem is that all of a sudden the door ajar lights comes on and the refrigerator alarm every few minutes that the door is open. But all doors are closed this happened in the middle of the day noone was even touching the refrigerator. Then the interior lights go out but the refrigerator/freezer are still working.

I unplugged the refrigerator and waited to plug in and then the interior lights came back on but I still have the door ajar and alarm coming on. I checked the deli drawer and there was no spillage looks very clean, I also tried to push the interior buttons to manually turn off the lights but they stay on both sides of refrigerator and also the freezer. I am thinking its the Led control board. I tried to unplug it then plug it back in but same thing.

Yes, if the light switches ohm test good when you press the button in and release the button should show no continuity, then it would be a bad LED Board.

Also, try this first--->disconnect the wire connector that goes to the DELI UI Board and see if everything starts working normal again.

Erratic dispenser and/or ice maker operation
Deli Control display changes
Door ajar light and/or beep won’t turn off
Erratic User Interface operation

Jake. Thanks for posting this information. When I disconnected the DELI UI board With the power disconnected and then plugged back in I didn't hear the compressor start running again. Then I disconnected the board with with the power on and the compressor seemed to stay running.

The water dispenser, ice dispenser and lights came back on after disconnecting the board while powered down. Lights and ice dispenser worked after unplugging the board while powered up. Tried to dry the DELI UI board With a hairdryer which didn't help.

What would you recommend as my next step?

If you have the exact same model number KRMF706ESS01 then it seems your DELI UI Board is possibly the problem.

You can get a new one or leave it unplugged.

It is that model. I would just leave it out except the water dispenser isn't operating and no temp control in the drawer. Ordered the (overpriced) board. Thanks for the input.

Ok, let us know how it goes after you replace it, Make sure you unplug the refrigerator from the wall outlet first!

Unplugged and Installed the new circuit board. Same issues as before replacing. Any ideas? Thanks.

That's odd, then unplug the wire harness from the new DELI UI board and see if it stays running, if so, you got a defective DELI UI board.

Also check the wiring to that DELI UI board to make sure you don't have any cuts of shorts in it.
