I have the icing issue on a 3-year-old, 5 door KRMF706ESS01. I have been told to defrost and then diagnose the fan/thermistor for possible replacement. I have decided to not repair this unit but to replace it.
Once it is defrosted it should be serviceable, if the fan and thermistor are replaced. Freezer and all other components are good. I replaced the main control board last week.
