Ice maker was making ice a few days ago, but not dispensing into the bin. At that time, electric eye looked like it was working,

Removed ice make, cleaned out old frozen ice and frost. Jumped t and h on the maker, nothing happened. Jumped v and L, nothing happened.

Reinstalled ice maker.

No, no lights are flashing when the door is open.

If I depress the emitter switch and the door switch, the LED flashes continuously.

Now, I’m. It sure if the ice maker or the emitter is bad.

Is there any way to test if the ice maker is getting power

Hi,

What position is the ejector arm fingers are pointing?

Normal would be pointing at you or slightly above you.

Here's the ice maker for your model, see how the ejector arm fingers should be pointing right at you?

They are pointing at me. Now the light flashes twice when door is open. Light turns solid red when I close emitter switch. Nothing Else happening. Agh! The symptoms keep changing.

Between holes "L" and "N"

Open the freezer door and check the status LED. If you see 2 Blinks followed by a 1 second delay-repeated: Tape the emitter door back so it doesn’t block the beam between the emitter and receiver. If the LED is on steady: Optics is good. 2 Blinks followed by a 1 second delay: Bad optics:

Optics seem ok. Yet intermittently. Yesterday, optics were working fine, this morning, there was a constant flashing of the led. Now, it’s back to flashing twice while emitter door is open. When emitter door is taped, solid red Light.

Use the safety pin trick, Rick made a diagram of how to:

Yes, Rick is correct, order the ice maker, from my link to it in post #2 above, and you'll be back in business.:)

does it matter if the motor cover and Ice door are off.
No, but just make sure you install the motor cover on the new ice maker before you install it.:)
