My Kitchen Aid refrigerator is acting up. Compressor cycle off and on every 10 to 20 seconds. The alarm sound is almost constant. It seems to maintain temperature fairly well. When I open the refrigerator door, the control panel light blinks once or twice after the door is open for about 5 seconds or so. I suspect, from what I've read, that the control board is going bad. Is there a way to verify this without going through all of the trouble of pulling the board out? Also, the control board is no longer available. I have read mixed reviews of pulling the board and sending it off to be repaired but have read that there is a service kit available. Does the kit include a main control board and is it difficult to install?

Thanks in advance

Yes, the main control board is the problem.

There is the kit for your model, which contains the main control board you can order:
Main Control Board W10801766

It comes with instructions that show you how to install it.
