Refridgerator stopped cooling, compressor is running, one of the copper tube connected with compressor is hot, but rest tubes are all room temperature. Condenser coil is room temperature too, evaporator coil is just a bit colder than room, both fans are running. I want to check the resistance of thermistors, but could not find where they are located, please help me to find them. Also what could possible be the issue?

Ok, If the compressor is running and there is no thin layer of frost on ALL the evaporator coils, from top to bottom, then you have a sealed system problem. The sealed system consists of the compressor, condenser, evaporator, heat exchanger, filter/drier and refrigerant. Common problems with a sealed system are bad compressors, refrigerant leaks, and system restrictions.

Check your owners manual warranty, some of these KitchenAid models have a 12 year warranty on the sealed system or compressor.
