The leak does not happen during the first 20mins of the normal wash cycle. It seems to happen within the plastic channel where the floating device goes up and down.
There is no water leak between rubber gasket and the bottom dishwasher.

The rubber gasket still looks “rubbery.” I also cleaned up the rubber gasket, the float and the channel that keeps float going up and down. The switch itself is working because I have tested with new and old switches both.

We have 2 of the same dishwashers about the same age and they both have the same issue.

Any idea?
Thanks
H

In your photo it looks like its suds coming through it, open the door when that happens and see if its OVERSUDSING in the bottom of the tub.:)

Thanks Jake!
When the leak happened, there seems to be a lot of suds.

We have been using Cascade Complete for probably about 2 years, without seeing this issue until now.

Recently, I poured some vinegar to the bottom and ran a cycle without any dishes. I also tightened the hex shape nut holding the float frame from the inside. All of which seemed to have helped a little less leak but still…leaking the same way.

The only thing I have not tried is to run a cycle with vegetable oil …or maybe switch to Finish, based on other postings in this forum?

Thanks
H

Yes, that's too much suds in your photo.

Yes, that would be what I would do.

So I poured 4 tablespoons of vegetable oil , no dishes and ran a full normal cycle: not a single drop of leak.

Then, loaded it up with dishes, threw in a Cascade pod and started the same normal cycle: leak! Opening the door and observing the bottom with suds..Too much, I guess?

Haven’t bought Finish pod yet, but it will be the next step!

Thank you,

Yes, still way too many suds.

Yes, I'd get the Finish pod.

After switching to Finish Quantum pod and only 10 minutes into the same normal cycle, I got more sud leaks than Cascade pod :(!!
Looking inside the washer, it seems to be the case too.

Where do I go from here? Any suggestions
Jake?
Thank you!

Ok, then buy the Cascade powder dishwasher detergent and just put half in the dishwasher detergent dispenser, then see how many suds you get.

Excellent, glad to hear that.(y)

Thanks for letting us know.:)

Well Jake, I am happy to report that my 2nd Amazon Basics pod attempt with full load of dishes, pots and pans and the same exact wash cycle produced no sud leak!!!

Thank you for your inputs and suggestions along the way. We can close this thread.

Great! That sounds good.(y)

Thanks for the update!
