Just noticed that my 7 year old KitchenAid dishwasher, KUDS35FXSS8, is dripping from the bottom right as you face it. It's about one drip per second as it starts the cycle. Must stop later as the total leak does not seem that great. Any advice will be much appreciated. Will take off the bottom cover and run it later today to investigate it further.

Investigated the leak further yesterday. I'll attach three photos. It looks like it's been leaking a little for a long time and I never noticed. Ran it twice yesterday and, of course, there was no leak, maybe because it was only lightly loaded with dishes. From the stains and my observation it was not leaking from either the water supply line or drain line connections. Tried to pull a piece of paper out from the door gasket on the sides and it was tight up toward the top of the door but a bit less tight lower down -- I could pull it out with some pressure. Could it be an old door gasket? It looks fine and I wiped it off well before I ran it the last two times. Can a DIYer replace the door gasket, if that's the issue?

Hi,

It's possible it could be the bottom door seal leaking.

Here it is for your model:

Also make sure the lower spray is not loose on the hub. When you click the link to the hub below you will see a video to access/replace/tighten it.

Jake -- Your help is much appreciated. What is that tape used in the video on replacing the lower door seal. I couldn't understand what it was called.

The tape just keeps the lower door seal in place so you can screw it in place, then remove the tape. Are you asking what kind of tape? Any tape like that he's using, duct tape it looks like to me.
