Good Day,

My fathers Ice machine is not producing Ice and not receiving cold air. The machine turns on and receives power and cycles water no problem. I replaced the start relay (Which rattled) with a Supco 3 n 1. with the same issues. My father tested the compressor itself with an ohms reading of 25, 22, 16, which according to my research is excessivly high? however I cannot find anything about a high reading? The compressor felt warm to the touch however never heard it kick on. This next week I will check the condenssor fan and coils for leaks..... Any and all help is appreciated. I am no professional however always try to throw a couple parts at appliances before giving up on them.

Thank you kindly for any guidance!

Sean

Hi Sean,

Yes, the compressor ohms are way too high, that means the compressor is bad.

Look here at this chart that Rick made:
