I have a Kitchenaid Undercounter ice maker that I am trying to run diagnostics on. I can't seem to find any detailed instructions on how to do this other than "pressing the ON/OFF and CLEAN buttons" at the same time. Any help would be appreciated.

Model is KUIX505ESS1 as the subject says.

Thanks.

Do you have the techs sheet? Everything is on that. Look for an envelope in the machine compartment.

Fantastic! Thanks.

So, here is my issue. My evaporator plate is not cooling and I wanted to check the diagnostics. I get to the part where it tests the compressor and both the ON/OFF and Clean lights stay lit. I hear the fan and what sounds like the compressor running, but never cools.

What would be my next steps? I have tested the compressor relay for continuity. That seemed fine. I tested the Ohms and got around .3 using my cheap digital multimeter. Tested the windings on the compressor and they seemed fine.

Thanks

Basic refrigeration- If the compressor is running and there is no cooling, the problem is in the sealed system. You have the age listed as 1-5 years. There's a five year warranty on the sealed system. You have to pay the labor. Call Whirlpool and set up a warranty service call.
