I picked up a Kitchenaid Wine fridge KUWS24LSBS for $40. Guy said he thought it worked :) Fans worked, digital display a little funky (digits missing a couple of segments). No compressor. I shorted the grey and yellow on the front (control) thermostat and it might have worked for a second, but then completely lost power.

Looking at the back, says there's an overload protector. Maybe that blew? Can't find it as an individual part, but maybe it's on the Start Device? (https://www.repairclinic.com/PartDetail/Start-Device/WP4344776/4434384). I think the capacitor that sits on top is okay, but not positive. Any ideas were to go? Should I start taking apart the display/ control circuits? Thanks!

Hi Joe,

Unplug the Wine Cooler from the wall outlet, and ohm test your compressor start relay.

Here's the compressor start relay for your model:

See those two holes? Put your multimeter probes in each hole at the same time and set your meter on the lowest ohms of resistance setting which is usually Rx200. Normal would be between 3 to 12 ohms.
