Howdy.
I have a Frigidaire Upright freezer model number LFFU1153DW2.
Am wanting to store 60 pounds of cryovac beef ribs, and 75 pounds of cryovac beef brisket in it.
-
Wanting them to age, NOT freeze, so I have been trying to regulate the temperature to be between 33°F to 38°F.
-
At the highest temperature setting just before shutting off, it is steady at 20°F, which is too low for my needs.
So...
I opened the inside panel and removed the 216788000 thermostat looking for an adjustment.
There is a small Torx screw.
Is this an adjustment?
If so, which direction should this screw be turned to raise the lowest temperature setting for this thermostat?

Thank you for any help on this.

Well... after thinking about this for awhile, I am figuring that the thermostats for freezers are probably not designed for what I am wanting to do.
I went ahead and turned this Torx screw in the photo inwards quite a ways, and waited for things to settle down.
-
There is seemingly no difference, as it still likes 20°F when the knob is set at the highest temperature setting (Just before off)
So after an hour or so, I've now turned this Torx screw out to pretty much the extreme to see if that does anything for changing the range in which this thermostat operates.
-
I also pulled the thermostat out of my "mini fridge" and placed it into my kitchen refrigerators freezer.
After about half an hour the contacts in it opened.
The "span" or setting range seems huge as it rotates 3/4 of its adjustment range to make the contacts open or close.
-
Am probably just needing to find a quality refrigerator thermostat to install in the freezer so that I can get the range I need.
