Frigidaire Freezer Model #LFFU14F5HWN

The open door alarm is going off. Tried reset and that didn't work. Made sure door was closed, it is. Toggled door open switch a bunch to see if maybe it was just stuck, no help. Unplugged freezer for 30 sec. and plugged back in. No help.

I read somewhere that this alarm can be disabled on some freezers. There is what I read, "On some upright freezer models, there is a switch behind the toe kick plate on the right side of the machine that allows you to switch the alarms off."

Do you guys know if this is true or not? I am no longer at the persons house that this freezer is at, but continuing to see if I can figure a way around it.

Thanks for any info.

Not true on your model. There's no on off switch for the alarm. I'll tell you how to stop the alarm but keep in mind the problem with the control board right now, is the alarm circuit. It can easily start affecting the cooling circuit on the board. To stop the alarm, remove/desolder the speaker.
