I have a brand new LG refrigerator with ice in the door. The problem is the flap on the ice chute does not close tightly. Cold air pours out of the partially opened cover, especially when the unit is actively blowing cold air into the ice maker to make ice. The flap automatically opens when I hit the paddle on the door to dispense ice, then automatically closes after a few seconds, but NOT tightly. This cold air is leading to condensation forming all over the door dispenser and dripping down the front of the refrigerator. It seems like a spring is missing that would keep the flap tight to the ice chute opening. Has anyone had this problem before? If so, is the flap missing a part or broken, or is this just poorly designed?
