I have a front load washer and found the basket is not free. The only error I get is "LE" or lock error. When wash cycle begins the door does lock and stay locked. I tried to reset, but no luck. There is a wet load of laundry in there now.

How to diagnose?

I might be dealing with a bearing issue....I just didn't think it would cause a LE error, but maybe because the basket wasn't spinning freely?

Yes, the inner tub needs to spin freely with no resistance to it.

#K121 and #K122 are the bearings.
#K125 is the bearing seal.
